Pivot Press is the scholarly publishing imprint of the Center on Modernity in Transition (COMIT), a nonprofit research institute based in North Carolina. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of www.pivotpress.org and our publications.

Our Publications
Pivot Press publishes scholarly work in two formats:
- Free open-access digital editions (PDFs)
- Print editions
Our digital editions are published under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). Print editions are published under standard copyright.

Website Content and Intellectual Property
The Pivot Press name, logo, and website design are the property of COMIT.
Content on this site that is not part of our published works (such as descriptions, blog posts, announcements, and promotional materials) may not be reproduced, distributed, or reused without permission, except for brief quotations with proper attribution as permitted by law.
Purchases and Refunds
Print edition sales are processed through Squarespace Commerce and its payment processors.
If you have questions about an order, please contact us at info@pivotpress.org. Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and handled in accordance with applicable law and platform policies.
